Gosforth Road Club (GRC) is a bike club in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England, focusing on social cycling and racing. We run weekly Saturday and Wednesday club rides in the countryside around Newcastle, starting from Regent Centre in Gosforth.
Most rides are on roads around Northumberland but we also do gravel rides in the area and there is an active Triathlon group. Saturday rides are typically 75-85km (45-55miles) @ 25-27km/h (15.5-17mph), with a stop at one of the many Northumberland cafés, with options for faster groups and those who want a longer ride.
On the 1st and 3rd Sat of the month, we run shorter/slower rides for new or recovering riders. We enjoy monthly social evenings, mostly in a Gosforth pub and an annual foreign cycling holiday.
The club also runs two competitive Time Trials each summer, a club-confined TT for GRC members only and an open TT for all-comers, and we have close links to the Gosforth Go Ride club.

We are a friendly club and always welcome new riders.
